Welcome to GeckoDive.com! I'm Satria, and I created this space to share my diving journey with you.

It all started in November last year when I decided to take the plunge — literally. I got my Open Water Diver certification, and honestly, that first breath underwater was a completely transformative experience. The silence, the weightlessness, the vibrant world just beneath the surface... I knew right then that this wasn't going to be just a hobby. It was going to be a passion.

Since that day, every spare thought has been about diving. Where to go next? What gear do I need? How do I improve my buoyancy? What marine life will I see? The questions kept piling up, and so did the experiences. Each dive taught me something new — about the ocean, about the creatures that call it home, and about myself.

A Diver's Journey

Getting certified was just the beginning. Since November, I've been discovering that diving isn't just about the time underwater — it's about everything that surrounds it. The anticipation before a dive. The surface interval chats with fellow divers. The post-dive meal where you relive every moment. The friendships formed over shared awe.

Indonesia is blessed with some of the most incredible diving on Earth. From Raja Ampat's biodiversity to the muck diving magic of Lembeh Strait, from the drift dives of Nusa Penida to the pristine coral gardens of Wakatobi — we're spoiled for choice. And I plan to explore every bit of it.
